About the hike

Date: Saturday, March 21, 2026

Meeting point: Azuga (Train Station) or we depart together from Bucharest.

The Story of Our Trail

We travel Saturday morning towards the Baiului Mountains and park in Azuga. From here, we set off on the forest path, and as soon as we emerge into the open, we will admire the first spectacular views of the Bucegi Mountains.

We continue climbing towards Cazacul Peak, then towards Baiul Mare Peak, the highest point of our trail, from where we will have spectacular views of the Bucegi Mountains, as well as Postăvaru and Ciucaș. We will use snowshoes (provided by us) only if the snow layer requires it.

Depending on the weather and group dynamics, we will descend either into Bușteni or Sinaia.
