The Story of the Route
A beautiful weekend awaits us in Bucegi, with accommodation located in the Padina - Peștera area, at 1600m altitude, between forests and the murmur of the river. The plan is to reach the highest peak in the massif (Omu) and the famous rock formations Babele and Sfinx, but approaching paths that keep us away from the crowds.
It's a tour with everything: we check off two spectacular waterfalls, cross gorges, admire Bolboci Lake, pass by an emblematic refuge and catch ridge lines with wide panoramas towards Piatra Craiului, Iezer and Făgăraș.

Additional information
Itinerary
Friday afternoon we set off towards the mountains. We gather on Friday evening in the Padina - Peștera area, stay overnight, have a quick dinner and rest for Saturday.
Saturday we have a full day. We climb the plateau, pass by Babele and Sfinx, then head to Omu Peak (2505m). On the way back, we descend to the Obârșia Ialomiței Waterfall and, if we are moving well and time allows, we also visit the Ialomiței Cave. In the evening we relax at the accommodation, between the forest and the stream.
On Sunday we explore an extremely picturesque area: Cheile Tătarului, Vârful Tătaru, Şaua and Refugiul Strunga (with that superb panorama of the neighboring massifs), Vârful Bătrâna and the descent to Cascada Doamnele. After the tour, we pack our bags and head back home.
Please note: The route may be subject to on-site changes depending on weather conditions and group dynamics or pace. Your safety and a great atmosphere are our priority.
