The Story of the Route
We invite you to accept a scenic challenge in the Ceahlău Massif! Our route starts from the Izvorul Muntelui Chalet and quickly takes us to the mountain plateau. In the evening, we will climb the spectacular staircase with 523 steps to Toaca Peak (1904 m), the place where the sunset colors the Izvorul Muntelui Lake and offers a unique panorama.
Direct Route: We will use the classic route, marked with a Blue Band , which quickly takes us to the high area of the massif.
Unforgettable Views: Arriving on Toaca Peak, we will enjoy a 360° view, including Lake Izvorul Muntelui.
Accessible Challenge: An ideal tour for enthusiasts with basic physical training who want a demanding ascent (over 1000m D+), but without major technical elements .
