The Story of the Route
If Transylvania had a magazine cover, it would probably be made from the Szekler Stone
We're going on a beautiful circuit through the Trascău Mountains, towards one of the most recognizable panoramas in Romania. We'll climb, we'll sweat a lot, and we'll stop "for pictures", when in fact we're trying to recover
The Szekler Stone is the sleeping giant that you kept seeing when you were eating a langoustine in the parking lot and that you kept putting off climbing.
Local Legend: It is said that the Szeklers once took refuge in these rocks during hard times. Today, people come here for two reasons: to paint the posts in the flag of Italy or Andorra… or to relax. We obviously go for the second reason.

Cancellation more than 7 days in advance: Full refund or transfer to a future tour.
Cancellation under 7 days: For organizational reasons, no refund is possible, but we offer you the flexibility to join another future tour.
Weather conditions: We reserve the right to cancel the hike in dangerous weather conditions (ice, blizzard, code red), and the money will be fully refunded.

Itinerary
We start from Rimetea on a circuit that will take us from the area of white houses to the spectacular ridge of Szekler Stone.
The climb: We will follow the classic route that climbs steadily through pastures and rocky areas to the ridge. If you ask us if it's hard, the answer is that it's not easy, but together we will succeed :)
Ridge: We will reach the panoramic plateau of Piatra Secuiuului, where the panorama of Rimetea, the Trascău Depression and the surrounding villages really seems to be made specifically to clear your mind of unnecessary problems.
The return: We will descend, passing by the Students' Cave, and at the end we will try to elegantly recover our lost energy with a cold syrup and at least a pie.
Required Equipment
Hiking boots or shoes with grippy soles
Clothing adapted for changeable weather: technical t-shirt, fleece and waterproof/windstopper jacket. (although we will probably keep them in our backpack)
Water (minimum 2L) and snacks for the whole day for you and a little surprise for us :) Trekking poles - they are very useful for this kind of hiking
Cap/hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
