1. How it all began
If you've been following us for a while, you probably already know two things about us: we love the mountains and we love people. And sometimes we write a little weird texts 🙂
A few months ago we signed up for the Consolid8 program , with a simple thought: Let's try to prove to ourselves that we have the power to help even if it seemed very complicated. We were told from the beginning: 👉 "If you have a big community and attractive rewards, it will be easy."
We had the rewards. But the community... was small.
Or at least that's what I thought.
2. What seemed difficult became real
After more than 30 days of campaigning, we achieved something that, honestly, we never imagined:
34 supporters
56,714 RON raised
111% of the target
A result that, for us, means more than just a sum.
It means trust. It means people who said "yes" to our idea. It means that what we do makes sense to others.
3. What was this campaign actually about?
It wasn't necessarily about money (although it certainly mattered a lot). More than that, it was about:
people who chose to come with us
stories that went further than we expected
and the feeling that we are not climbing the mountain alone
Every supporter was part of the team.
4. People who made it possible
We can't write all the names here as we would like, but each of you has mattered enormously and we say it honestly: your energy has carried us forward when we weren't sure we would succeed.
We also thank the companies that chose to be with us: Plexus Services, TBC Production and SPN Popa Dorobanțu.
We can't wait to get you out on the mountain 🙂
5. What does this mean next?
Through this campaign we opened an important door:
👉 access to an additional grant of €10,000 through the SME support pilot program
For us, this means a real step forward:
more accessible experiences
more social impact
more people reaching the mountain
6. Why everything we do matters
Up the Mountains is not about marked trails.
It's about how you feel when you come down from the mountain:
quieter
more present
more connected
And because we are a social enterprise, every shift means more:
👉 90% of the profit goes to
children from vulnerable backgrounds
and Alex Benchea - blind athlete and mountaineer
7. What did the people choose?
The campaign wasn't about products. It was about experiences.
From:
a set of stickers
a mountain cup
up to a full day on the mountain or an annual subscription
Every choice meant the same thing: 👉 "I want to be part of this."
8. What's next?
The campaign is over. But the story is just beginning.
We will continue to:
we take people up the mountain safely
we build authentic experiences
and to pass on what we receive
9. Our final thought
They told us it would be easy if we had a big community.
We don't have a big community. We have a good community.
And that makes all the difference.
See you on the trails. ⛰️ Up the Mountains Team

Slovenia, part II: Hemingway, Soča and other reasons to fall in love with Slovenia. 109 years later
In the first part of our diary, we told you about Logarska Dolina and why we believe it is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps. We know, it's a bold statement, but we take it on.
Description
Slovenia, part I: four nights in Logarska Dolina, among spectacular mountains and places where we would stay a little longer
There are places where you arrive, take a few photos, say it's beautiful and move on. And there are places where, after the first ten minutes, you already start thinking about when you could come back.
Logarska Dolina, in Slovenia, belongs to the second category. We say it's the most beautiful valley in the Alps.

One year of Up the Mountains. It turned out suspiciously beautiful
On October 11, 2025, we organized our first official hike under the name Up the Mountains. We knew a little about mountains. About how to build a social enterprise, a little less. But we had enthusiasm, a few good ideas and enough optimism to get to work.
